Dr Pauline Foreman

SpecialityGP, Hertfordshire and Clinical Director, Personalised Care Institute (PCI)

Dr Pauline Foreman is a GP in Hertfordshire and the Clinical Director of
the newly formed Personalised Care Institute (PCI). The PCI is a virtual
institute that sets standards and provides access to high quality
accredited training in personalised care for all health and care staff. This
training supports the move to a new model of care delivery across the
NHS and social care, with a shift in power and decision making away
from healthcare practitioners towards a more equal and effective
partnership with patients and carers. In practice a move from ‘what’s the
matter with you” to “what matters to you”. A personalised care approach
has benefits for all, including better experiences of care and health
outcomes, enhanced job satisfaction for healthcare practitioners and
long-term sustainability for the NHS.
